How to Participate

Participation in the auction is free.
Membership registration is required to place a bid.

Find your favorite piece

During the auction period, all the listed works can be viewed on the website.
We also publish a catalogue for each auction with the listed works, which we provide free of charge to interested customers. カタログを申し込む Request for a catalogue

Preview

During the auction, a preview is held where you can view the works in person.
You can check the actual size and condition of the work, and bids can also be placed on the spot.

Venue: Kashima Arts (3-3-2 Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo)
Open every day, free admission. Please contact intl@kashima-arts.co.jp for reservation.

Membership registration is required to place a bid (membership is free).

Place your bid

Bidding method

This is a silent bid auction.
The amount of each bid is confidential, and the winner is determined by the highest bid at the end of the auction.

How to bid

You are free to choose from the four bidding methods listed below.

1. Bid on the website After logging in to the website, you can bid from each lot page.
2. Bid at the preview A bidding form is available at the preview venue to place bid in person.
3. Bid by email Please send your bid via email ( meguru-intl@kashima-arts.co.jp ) wtih your name, lot number, and your bid.
4. Bid by fax or post

The bidding form can be downloaded from the website and is also distributed attached to the catalogue. Please use the form to bid by fax or post.

WEB-exclusive auction "MEGURU Online"

MEGURU Online is a live bid auction, where you can see the highest bids.
The minimum bidding price is mainly in the range of 1,000 to 100,000 yen, featuring a lineup of items in a casual price range.

Announcement of auction results (bid opening)

Bids are opened within 3 business days from the auction end date, and you will be notified of your results.
In addition, the results of all listed works will be posted on the website.

Payment

Upon winning a bid, you will be requested to make a payment.
Please check the details of your invoice and pay by the due date.

Buyer’s Premium

For each successful bid (1 Lot), 14% of the winning bid amount will be charged as a buyer’s premium.

* Consumption tax will be charged separately to the buyer’s premium.

Payment Method

You can choose from the following two payment methods.

  1. Bank transfer
  2. Cash (visit to Kashima Arts required)

Delivery of the work

The lot(s) will be sent to you once your payment has been confirmed.

How to receive

You can choose from the following three methods of receipt.

  1. Ship to the address in user information
  2. Ship to a different address
  3. Pick up at Kashima Arts
